Recipe: Valentine's Love-Bite Donuts
Soft, fluffy, and packed with warm, comforting flavours, these Love Bite Donuts are made for sharing (or not—we won’t judge).
The secret? A hint of pink spice from our Beetroot & Ginger Blend, bringing a cosy depth of flavour that makes each bite even more irresistible. A Valentine’s treat, a Galentine’s gathering, or just because you fancy something delicious, these doughnuts are simple to make and impossible to resist.

INGREDIENTS:
For the Donuts: 1 and 1/3 cup oat flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, dash of salt, 6 tbsp applesauce, 1 tsp vanilla, 3/4 cup dairy free milk, 4 heaped tsp Beetroot & Ginger Blend, 60g dark chocolate chips, 1 tsp plain flour.
For the Icing: 40g dark chocolate (chopped), 50g icing sugar, 1/2 tsp Beetroot & Ginger Blend, 1/2 tsp water, sprinkles.
RECIPE:
In a bowl, combine all of the donut ingredients, except the chocolate chips and plain flour, and mix them well.
Add the dark chocolate chips to a small bowl and toss them in the flour to coat.
Carefully fold the chocolate chips through the donut batter. (This stops them from sinking to the bottom).
Grease a donut pan with coconut oil and fill each donut mould to the top (we made 6 large donuts).
Bake the donuts at 175°c for 20 minutes, until the edges of each donut start to become golden in colour.
Once the donuts are done baking, give them a few minutes to cool and then remove them from the donut tin and place them on a cooling rack.
When cool to the touch, melt the dark chocolate in a small bowl in the microwave at 20 second intervals until completely runny.
In another small bowl, mix together the icing sugar, Beetroot & Ginger Blend and water. Add more water or sugar to achieve the desired icing consistency.
Drizzle the dark chocolate over the donuts, followed by the pink icing. Top the donuts off with sprinkles, then place them in the fridge until the icing hardens and enjoy!
These taste best when enjoyed the day of, but can be stored in an air tight container in the fridge for 4-5 days.
Enjoy!
